Nrithyakshetra teaches Delhi students live online from our Bengaluru academy. The batch is small, the guru is classically trained, and the syllabus is the same one our HSR Layout studio students follow, from foundational adavus to full margam pieces, with Sanskrit shlokas alongside.

Learning Bharatanatyam in Delhi
Delhi has real Bharatanatyam depth, the sabhas, the Kamani and Siri Fort stages, a long lineage of Kalakshetra-trained teachers who settled in the capital. But the good classes are concentrated in South Delhi, and half the city's families are nowhere near them.

We start with a free trial class so you can meet the guru and see the teaching style before paying anything.
Live, never recorded
Every session is a live video class. The guru watches your araimandi and rhythm on screen and corrects you in the moment.
Three sessions a week
Two weekday classes plus the longer Sunday session, so new material is taught and then consolidated rather than rushed.
The full tradition
Adavus, mudras, tala, abhinaya and margam repertoire, with Sanskrit shlokas available alongside.

A nurturing introduction to classical Bharatanatyam for young learners. Children develop rhythm, coordination, confidence, and a deep love for Indian classical arts through structured, age-appropriate training.
Beginner Classes

No prior experience needed. Our beginner programme builds a strong classical foundation, from basic adavus and mudras to rhythmic training and expressive abhinaya.
Intermediate & Advanced
For Trained Dancers
Structured advancement for students with prior training. Repertoire development, nuanced abhinaya, margam preparation, and performance-readiness are the focus at this level.
Shlokas & Devotional Recitation
Children & Adults
Learn sacred Sanskrit shlokas rooted in temple tradition. This programme cultivates a devotional sensibility, language awareness, and a calm, focused mind, complementing both dance and daily life.

Do you offer online Bharatanatyam classes in Delhi?
Yes. Nrithyakshetra teaches Delhi students through live online Bharatanatyam classes from our academy in HSR Layout, Bengaluru. Classes are live video sessions with a classically trained guru, not pre-recorded videos, and follow the same graded curriculum as our studio batches. We teach families in R K Puram, Dwarka, Mayur Vihar, Vasant Kunj and across Delhi.
What are the class timings for Delhi students?

Can complete beginners and young children in Delhi join?
Yes. We teach children from age five, teenagers, adult beginners with no dance background, and trained dancers returning after a break. Beginners start with the foundational adavus, correct araimandi and basic tala, exactly as our studio beginners do.

Classes for Delhi students commonly run in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Tell us which the student follows most easily and we will place them accordingly.
What do we need at home in Delhi to join?
A laptop, tablet or phone with a camera, a reliable internet connection, and about two metres of clear floor space, a hard floor is better than carpet. We check the setup with you during the free trial class.
Do you teach Sanskrit shlokas to Delhi students as well?
Yes. Our shlokas and devotional recitation programme runs online alongside the dance, and many Delhi families take both together.
