Ireland's Indian population has more than doubled in a decade, largely through healthcare and tech, but the classical arts infrastructure has not caught up, outside Dublin there is very little formal Bharatanatyam teaching at all. Our live online classes give Irish families a direct line to a trained guru in Bengaluru without needing a teacher to exist in their county.

Irish clocks follow the UK exactly, so the Sunday batch is the practical one for schoolchildren, late morning your time. The two weekday batches fall during the school day and mainly suit adult learners.
Families in Cork, Galway and Limerick attend exactly the same batches as Dublin students, so distance inside Ireland stops mattering. The 90-minute Sunday class is the anchor for most Irish families, with practice through the week between sessions.

Where Our Ireland Students Are
Most of our Irish families are first-generation, with children born in Ireland who speak more English than Tamil, Telugu or Kannada. We teach the vocabulary alongside the dance, the names of the adavus, the meaning of the sahitya, the story behind the piece, because for these children the dance class is often the main place that language and mythology live.

How Our Online Classes Work
Free trial first
We start with a free trial session at a Ireland-friendly time so you can meet the guru and test your setup before paying anything.
Live, never recorded
Every class is a live video session. The guru watches your posture and rhythm on screen and corrects you in the moment, exactly as in the studio.
The same graded syllabus
Adavus, mudras, tala, abhinaya and margam repertoire, in the same order our HSR Layout students learn them, plus Sanskrit shlokas if you want them.
Small batches
Batches are deliberately small so every student is seen and corrected each week. One-to-one slots are available if you prefer.

Learn sacred Sanskrit shlokas rooted in temple tradition. This programme cultivates a devotional sensibility, language awareness, and a calm, focused mind, complementing both dance and daily life.

Fees are quoted in euro and paid monthly by SEPA transfer or Wise. Small batch sizes mean we can usually place a new Irish student within a week of the trial class rather than holding them for a term start.

For technique, theory, abhinaya and steady graded progress, live online classes work very well, the guru sees your posture on screen and corrects it in real time, and batches are kept small so every student is watched. Our Ireland-based students follow the same syllabus, the same assessments and the same repertoire as students in our Bengaluru studio.
Can complete beginners and young children in Ireland join?
Yes. We teach children from age five, teenagers, adult beginners with no dance background at all, and trained dancers returning after a break. Beginners in Ireland start with the foundational adavus and basic tala, exactly as our studio beginners do.
What do we need at home in Ireland to join an online class?
A laptop, tablet or phone with a camera, a reliable internet connection, and about two metres of clear floor space, a hard floor is better than carpet. Nothing else. We walk you through the setup during the free trial session.
Do you teach Sanskrit shlokas as well as dance to students in Ireland?
Yes. Our shlokas and devotional recitation programme is available online alongside the dance, and many families in Ireland take both, for children growing up outside India it is often the part parents value most.
