Please note before enrolling

Our enrollment fee and monthly fees are non-refundable. We warmly invite you to attend a demo class first, so you can experience the teaching and decide with confidence. See our Refund Policy for details.

1. About these Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your enrollment in and use of the classes, programmes, and services offered by Nrithyakshetra ("we", "us", "our"), a Bharatanatyam and classical arts academy based in HSR Layout, Bengaluru. By enrolling a student, making a payment, or attending a class — whether offline at our studio or online — you ("student", "parent", or "guardian") agree to these Terms.

Please read them carefully. If you are enrolling a child, you accept these Terms on their behalf as their parent or legal guardian.

2. Attend a Demo Before You Join

We strongly encourage every prospective student to attend a demo / trial class before enrolling. The demo lets you experience our teaching style, meet the guru, understand the schedule, and decide whether the programme is right for you or your child.

Because our enrollment and monthly fees are non-refundable (see our Refund Policy), the demo is your opportunity to make an informed decision. By choosing to enroll and pay, you confirm that you have had the chance to attend a demo and are satisfied that the programme meets your expectations.

3. Enrollment & Fees

Enrollment is confirmed only once the applicable fees are paid in full. Fees may include a one-time enrollment / registration fee and recurring monthly (or term) tuition fees, as communicated at the time of joining.

Monthly fees are payable in advance for each month or billing cycle. Continued attendance depends on fees being kept up to date. We reserve the right to revise our fee structure; any changes will be communicated in advance and will not affect the cycle already paid for.

All fees, including the enrollment fee and monthly fees, are non-refundable. Please review our Refund Policy for full details.

4. Attendance, Schedule & Missed Classes

Class schedules, batch timings, and the academic calendar are set by the academy and may change with reasonable notice. Students are expected to attend regularly and arrive on time out of respect for the guru and fellow students.

Fees are charged for the enrolled period, not per class attended. Classes missed by the student are not refundable and are not automatically carried forward, though we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate a make-up class where the schedule permits.

If the academy cancels a scheduled class, we will offer a make-up session or an equivalent adjustment.

5. Student Conduct & Discipline

Bharatanatyam is a devotional, disciplined art. Students and accompanying family members are expected to conduct themselves respectfully towards the guru, staff, and fellow students, and to follow the guidance and etiquette of the classroom.

We reserve the right to discontinue a student's enrollment in cases of persistent misconduct, disruption, or non-payment of fees, without any obligation to refund fees already paid.

6. Performances, Events & Costumes

Students may be invited to participate in recitals, annual day functions, cultural events, and arangetrams. Participation is optional and may involve additional costs — such as costumes, accessories, event or venue charges — which are communicated separately and are the responsibility of the student or parent.

Any such additional charges are also non-refundable once committed or purchased on the student's behalf.

7. Media & Photography

Photographs and videos taken during classes, recitals, and events may be used by the academy for teaching, archival, and promotional purposes, including on our website and social media. If you do not wish for you or your child's image to be used, please inform us in writing and we will respect your request.

8. Online Classes

For online programmes, students are responsible for their own internet connection, device, and a suitable, safe practice space. Class links and materials are for the enrolled student's personal use only and must not be shared, recorded, or redistributed without our written permission.

9. Health & Safety

Bharatanatyam is a physical discipline. Please inform us of any medical condition or injury that may affect participation. Students take part in classes and physical activity at their own risk, and parents are responsible for ensuring their child is fit to participate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the academy, its guru, and staff are not liable for any indirect or incidental loss arising from participation in classes or events, beyond the fees paid for the relevant period.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the effective date shown above. Continued enrollment after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
